titleOfInvention | TRANSDERMAL PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCT AND TYROPHIBANE INTRODUCTION |
abstract | 1. A transdermal drug delivery system comprising: a sheet material coated with adhesive on a first side; a pharmaceutical composition in contact with a second side of said sheet material and capable of at least partially passively diffusing through said sheet material to said first side; and a flexible base; characterized in that: the flexible base and adhesive coated sheet material form a pocket containing said pharmaceutical composition; the pharmaceutical composition is not able to passively diffuse through the flexible base; the pharmaceutical composition contains tirofiban or a salt or hydrate thereof; and the adhesive on said adhesive coated sheet material is capable of adhering to the skin of the patient. The transdermal drug delivery system of claim 1, further comprising a device for seeping into the skin or an penetration enhancer in the skin. The transdermal drug delivery system according to claim 2, characterized in that the penetration or penetration enhancer is located in the pocket. The transdermal drug delivery system according to claim 2, characterized in that the penetration or penetration enhancer is located on or in the adhesive coated sheet material. The transdermal drug delivery system according to claim 2, characterized in that the penetration or penetration enhancer is coated or saturated with the active pharmaceutical ingredient in a manner that enhances the delivery of the intended dose to the patient. The transdermal drug delivery system according to claim 2, characterized in that the penetration enhancer or penetration into the skin is selected from the group consisting of N-meth |
