titleOfInvention | POLYMER DISPERSION |
abstract | 1. An aqueous polymer dispersion containing an anionic water-soluble dispersion polymer, comprising in a polymerized form a monomer mixture containing! (i) one or more anionic monomers,! (ii) the first non-ionic vinyl monomer, which is acrylamide, and! (iii) at least one second non-ionic vinyl monomer; ! a water soluble salt and a stabilizer, wherein the water soluble salt is present in an amount of at least 2.0 wt.% based on the total weight of the dispersion. ! 2. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1, where the monomer mixture contains from about 1 to about 40 mol.% Anionic monomer, from about 20 to about 98 mol.% Acrylamide and from about 1 to about 40 mol.% Of the second non-ionic vinyl monomer , while the sum of percentages is 100.! 3. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the anionic monomer is acrylic acid or methacrylic acid. ! 4. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1 or 2, where the second non-ionic vinyl monomer is selected from the group consisting of methyl methacrylate, ethyl methacrylate, vinyl acetate and mixtures thereof. ! 5. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1, where the anionic water-soluble dispersion polymer is present in an amount in the range from about 5 to about 40 wt.% Based on the total weight of the dispersion. ! 6. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1, where the stabilizer is an anionic polymer or a copolymer based on acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid. ! 7. The aqueous polymer dispersion according to claim 1 or 6, where the stabilizer |
