The method according to claim 1, which, in addition, includes adding to the specified baby food at least one LCPUFA. ! 5. The method according to claim 4, where the specified LCPUFA selected from the group consisting of DHA, ARA, EPA and combinations thereof. ! 6. The method according to claim 1, which, in addition, includes adding to the specified baby food at least one probiotic. ! 7. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises adding at least one prebiotic to said baby food. ! 8. The method according to claim 1, which, in addition, includes adding to the specified baby food at least one additional antimicrobial agent. ! 9. The method of claim 8, wherein at least one of said additional antimicrobial agents is selected from the group consisting of fatty alcohol, monoglyceride, free fatty acid, the corresponding free fatty acid ester, and combinations thereof. ! 10. The method according to claim 1, where these pathogenic bacteria inhibited by diglyceride are selected from the group consisting of gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative bacteria, and combinations thereof. ! 11.
