A method for biological analysis of biological samples, comprising the steps of:! a) introducing the biological sample to be analyzed in a container containing a nutrient medium; ! b) incubating the container during the first incubation time interval; ! c) after the specified first incubation time interval, analysis of the atmosphere in the specified container and comparison of the atmosphere in the specified container with the maximum value and minimum value of the concentration of carbon dioxide, and! - if the atmosphere contains an amount of carbon dioxide less than the minimum value, the classification of the sample as not containing pathologically significant bacterial load, so that the sample is not subjected to analysis to determine the presence of microorganisms; ! - if the atmosphere contains an amount of carbon dioxide greater than the maximum value, classifying the sample as containing a pathologically significant bacterial load, so that the sample is analyzed to determine the microorganisms present; ! - if the atmosphere contains an amount of carbon dioxide contained between the maximum value and the minimum value, maintain the specified biological sample in incubation during the second incubation time interval; ! g) introducing oxygen into said container before said second incubation time interval; ! d) at the end of the indicated second incubation time interval, analysis of the atmosphere in the indicated container and classification of the biological sample as containing a pathologically significant bacterial load or not containing a pathologically significant bacterial load, in
