titleOfInvention THERMOPLASTIC MATERIALS CONTAINING CHARGE-TRANSFER AGENTS AND PHOTO ACID AGENTS
abstract 1. A thermoplastic material comprising a polymer and at least one charge transfer agent, wherein the charge transfer agent is substantially colorless in the neutral state but becomes colored upon acquisition of charge, and further comprises a photoacid generating agent. ! 2. Thermoplastic material according to claim 1, characterized in that the photoacid generating agent comprises a compound selected from the group consisting of compounds of the "onium" type, triazine, phthalimide, naphthalimide and carboximide compounds. ! 3. Thermoplastic material according to claim 2, wherein the photoacid generating agent comprises an iodonium or sulfonium compound. ! 4. Thermoplastic material according to claim 3, characterized in that the photoacid generating agent comprises a perfluoro-1-butanesulfonate, p-toluenesulfonate, 9,10-dimethoxyanthracene-2-sulfonate, nitrate, triflate or hexafluorophosphate salt of an iodonium or sulfonium compound. ! 5. Thermoplastic material according to claim 1, wherein the polymer is a polyolefin selected from polyethylene, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, or mixtures thereof. ! 6. The thermoplastic material of claim 1, wherein the charge transfer agent is a compound containing at least one nitrogen atom. ! 7. Thermoplastic material according to claim 6, wherein the charge transfer agent is selected from the group consisting of amines, carbazoles and leuco dyes. ! 8. Thermoplastic material according to claim 1, characterized in that the thermoplastic material contains:! about 80% to about 99.98 wt% polymer; ! from about 0.01% to about 10 wt.% of the agent with p
