titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR SEPARATING FLUOROFINS FROM HF USING LIQUID-LIQUID EXTRACTION |
abstract | 1. A method for separating fluoroolefins from a composition containing HF and fluoroolefins, comprising extracting the composition with an extractant. ! 2. The method of claim 1, wherein the extractant is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbons, chlorine substituted hydrocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and perfluorinated ethers. ! 3. The method according to claim 1, including! but. feeding a composition containing HF and fluoroolefins and a composition containing an extractant to an extractor; and! b. removing from the extractor the phase of the enriched extractant containing the extractant and fluoroolefins. ! 4. The method of claim 3, further comprising! but. feeding the phase of the enriched extractant containing the extractant and fluoroolefins to the extractant regeneration column; and! b. recovering the substantially extractant-free fluoroolefin product from the extractant recovery column. ! 5. The method according to claim 1, including! but. feeding a composition containing HF and fluoroolefins and a composition containing an extractant to an extractor; and! b. removal of the enriched HF phase from the extractor. ! 6. The method of claim 5, further comprising! but. feeding the enriched HF phase to the raffinate stripping column; and! b. recovering from the HF raffinate stripper a product substantially free of fluoroolefins and extractant. ! 7. Composition containing! but. HF; ! b. at least one fluoroolefin, and! from. at least one extractant. ! 8. The composition of claim 7, wherein the extractant is at least one compound selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbons, chlorine-substituted hydrocarbons, chlorofluorocarbons |
