titleOfInvention HELIUM PRODUCTION METHOD
abstract 1. A method for separating helium from a helium-containing fraction, in particular from helium-, nitrogen- and methane-containing fractions, characterized in that! a) the helium-containing fraction (5) is at least partially condensed (E2) and separated (D2) into a helium-rich gas fraction (6) and a helium-depleted liquid fraction (9 '),! b) a helium-rich gas fraction (6) is condensed ( E3) at least until the concentration of helium in the resulting gas fraction (7) is at least 90%, preferably at least 95%, and in particular at least 98%,! c) the helium-depleted liquid fraction (9 ') is expanded (b'), vaporized until at least 70%, preferably at least 85%, of the helium contained therein is in a gaseous state and separated (D4) to the helium-rich gas fraction (11 ') and the helium-poor liquid fraction (12'), and! d) the helium-rich gas fraction (11 ') is heated and added to the helium-containing fraction (5). ! 2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the helium-containing fraction (5) is compressed in one or more stages (C1, C2) before it is condensed and separated into a helium-enriched gas fraction (6) and a helium-depleted liquid fraction (9 ') preferably up to a pressure in the range between 1 and 5 MPa (10 and 50 bar). ! 3. The method according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the helium-containing fraction (5) is subjected to separation from nitrogen (E1, D1) prior to its condensation and separation into a helium-enriched gas fraction (6) and a helium-depleted liquid fraction (9 ') ... ! 4. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the nitrogen-rich fraction (3) obtained by separation from nitrogen (E1, D1) is expanded (a) to a reduced pressure, separated (D1 ') into a helium-containing nitrogen-depleted gas fraction
