titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A WATER DISPERSION OF POLYURETHANE, SUITABLE FOR USE IN PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS, FIXER FOR HAIR AND LOTION FOR Tanning ON THE BASIS OF THE SPECIFIED DISPERSION |
abstract | 1. A method of obtaining an aqueous dispersion of polyurethane, suitable for use in personal hygiene items, containing:! 1) obtaining a prepolymer according to the formula:! ! where R1 is a bivalent radical of a polycarbonate polyol,! R2 is an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanate radical,! R3 represents a radical of a low molecular weight diol, possibly substituted by ionic groups,! n ranges from 1 to 5, and! m is> 1; ! by interaction:! 1a) at least one polycarbonate polyol,! 1b) one or more aliphatic or cycloaliphatic polyisocyanates, and! 1c) at least one low molecular weight diol, optionally substituted with ionic groups; ! 2) reacting this prepolymer with at least one monohydroxyl functional polyalkylene oxide having a number average molecular weight equal to or less than about 3000; ! 3) lengthening the chain of this prepolymer by reaction with! 3a) at least one chain extender of the formula:! H2N-R4-NH2! where R4 represents an alkylene or alkylene oxide radical not substituted by ionic or potentially ionic groups, and! 3b) necessarily, at least one chain extender of the formula:! H2N-R5-NH2! where R5 represents an alkylene radical substituted by ionic or potentially ionic groups,! in the presence of an organic solvent to form polyurethane; ! 4) dispersion of polyurethane in water; and ! 5) removing the organic solvent to obtain an aqueous polyurethane dispersion; where the radical of the polyalkylene oxide with monohydroxyl functional groups is between about 0.1% by weight and about 5% by weight of the polyurethane. ! 2.C |
