titleOfInvention Salinity Reduction Using Sweeteners
abstract 1. Composition for bowel cleansing, including! 0.01 to 0.1% of a sweetener selected from the group consisting of the chlorinated isomer of sucrose, acesulfame potassium, saccharin, and mixtures thereof; and ! a bowel cleaner having a perceived salinity equivalent to 0.2 to 2.6% sodium chloride in water. ! 2. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the chlorinated sucrose isomer is sucralose. ! 3. A composition according to claim 1, wherein the sweetener is a mixture of the chlorinated isomer of sucrose and acesulfame potassium in a weight ratio of 1 from 4 to 6, respectively. ! 4. A composition according to claim 2 comprising 0.04 to 0.09% sweetener and wherein the perceived salinity of the bowel cleaner is equivalent to 1.8 to 2.2% sodium chloride in water. ! 5. A composition according to claim 4 comprising 0.04 to 0.06% sweetener, wherein the sweetener is selected from the group consisting of sucrose isomer, acesulfame potassium, and mixtures thereof. ! 6. A composition according to claim 2 comprising 0.01 to 0.04% sweetener and wherein the perceived salinity of the bowel cleaner is equivalent to 0.2 to 0.6% sodium chloride in water. ! 7. A composition according to claim 6 comprising 0.01 to 0.03% sweetener, wherein the sweetener is selected from the group consisting of sucralose isomer, acesulfame potassium, and mixtures thereof. ! 8. The composition of claim 1, further comprising a flavor selected from the group consisting of mangosteen, cola, ginger ale, and combinations thereof. ! 9. A composition according to claim 8 comprising 0.3 to 2.3% of a flavoring agent. ! 10.
