titleOfInvention | SEAKEM GOLD MACROGRANULES CONTAINING SECRET CELLS AND THEIR APPLICATION |
abstract | 1. A method for producing agarose-coated granules from Seakem Gold agarose containing secretory cells, comprising:! (a) suspension of secretory cells in Seakem Gold agarose,! (b) granule formation from said suspended secretory cells from step (a),! (c) incubation of the granule obtained in stage (b) in a humidified atmosphere! (d) applying to the granule obtained in step (c), agarose coatings to obtain agarose-coated granules from Seakem Gold agarose with secretory cells. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising rolling the granules obtained in step (c) in 5% agarose, contacting the packed granules with mineral oil, and washing the packed granules to form agarose-coated Seakem Gold agarose granules with secretory cells. ! 3. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the secretory cells are pancreatic islets. ! 4. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the islets are islets of the human pancreas. ! 5. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the islets are islets of the pancreas of cattle. ! 6. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the islets are islets of a pancreas of a pig. ! 7. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the granule contains about 50-5000 islands. ! 8. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the granule contains about 100-2500 islands. ! 9. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the granule contains about 475-550 islands. ! 10. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that the granule is a macrobead with a diameter of about 4-12 mm ! 11. The method according to claim 10, characterized in that the diameter of the macrobead is approximately 4-10 mm ! 12. The method according to claim 10, |
