titleOfInvention EXTRACT Salix, ITS USE AND COMPOSITIONS ITS CONTAINING
abstract 1. A method for extracting branches and bark of Salix spp, which includes:! a) extracting the branches and bark of Salix spp with appropriate solvents that make the desired products soluble (total extract); ! b) removal of water-insoluble (or poorly soluble) tannins; ! c) removal of water soluble tannins; ! d) purification on an adsorption resin column to increase the content of salicin derivatives. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, in which stage (a) is performed by extraction of the plant material with C1-C3 alcohol or mixtures of these solvents or aqueous solutions of these solvents, or only with water. ! 3. The method according to claim 2, in which the extraction solvent is ethanol. ! 4. The method according to claim 2, wherein the extraction solvent is 30% v / v. water-ethanol solution. ! 5. The method of claim 2, wherein the extraction solvent is acetone. ! 6. The method according to claim 2, in which the solvent for extraction is 80% vol./about. water-acetone solution. ! 7. The method according to claim 2, in which the extraction is performed at a temperature in the range from 10 to 80 ° C, preferably at 25 ° C. ! 8. The method according to claim 1, in which stage (c) is performed using polyvinyl polypyrrolidone (PVPP). ! 9. The method according to claim 1, in which the chromatographic separation is performed on styrene divinylbenzene or acrylic resin. ! 10. Extracts with a content of salicin derivatives up to 50%, a tannin content of not more than 5% and an oligomeric procyanidin content of more than 5%, which can be obtained using the method according to claims 1 to 9. ! 11. Compositions containing extracts of claim 10. ! 12. The use of extracts of claim 10 to obtain drugs for the treatment of arthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic degenerative pathologies of the joints
