titleOfInvention Anti-inflammatory formulation and process for preparing the same
abstract FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: anti-inflammatory formulation includes ortophen (sodium diclofenac, voltaren) and benzyl benzoate as active ingredients of ointment composition. A number of adjuvants including a structure-forming agent such as rarely cross-linked acrylic copolymer which is neutralized with an inorganic or organic base, Tween 80, Nipagin, Nipazol and water allows the required physical and chemical properties of such formulation to attain. For the preparation of anti-inflammatory formulation ortophen is dissolved in aqueous solution containing Tween 80 and nipagin, and the resulting solution is mixed together with the composition containing acrylic copolymer neutralized with base to pH 5-7.5 at 60-70 C. EFFECT: increased anti-inflammatory activity of ortophen in topical use. 2 cl, 7 tbl
