titleOfInvention SUBSTANCES FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF PANCREATITIS
abstract 1. A method for determining candidate substances as prophylactic and therapeutic agents for pancreatitis, comprising:! determination of the binding activity (pKis) of the test substance with 5-HT2A and 5-HT2B receptors; and! determining the test substance as a candidate substance as a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for pancreatitis if the binding activity of the 5-HT2A receptor is at least 1.0 greater than the binding activity of the 5-HT2B receptor. ! 2. The method according to claim 1, further comprising determining the binding activity of the test substance to the 5-HT2C receptor and determining the test substance as a prophylactic and therapeutic agent for pancreatitis if the binding activity of the 5-HT2A receptor is at least 1.0 greater binding activity to the 5-HT2B receptor and the 5-HT2C receptor. ! 3. A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of pancreatitis, comprising as an active substance a 5-HT2A receptor antagonist, wherein the binding activity (pKi) of the 5-HT2A receptor antagonist with the 5-HT2A receptor is at least 1.0 higher than the activity binding to the 5-HT2B receptor, while the 5-HT2A receptor antagonist is not ketanserin, sarpogrelate hydrochloride or a substance with the following formula:! ! where R1 represents hydrogen or halogen, R2 and R3 are the same or different and represent a hydrogen or halogen atom or a C1-C4 alkoxy group, R4 represents a 5- or 6-membered cyclic amino group, which may be substituted and may contain an oxygen or sulfur atom, where the substituent represents a C1-C20 aliphatic acyloxy group which may contain a hydroxyl group or a double
