titleOfInvention SCANNER OF POSITRON-EMISSION TOMOGRAPHY AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE VISUALIZATION WITH THE ABILITY TO DETERMINE FLIGHT TIME
abstract 1. An imaging system comprising:! a magnetic resonance imaging scanner that includes at least a main magnet (20) and gradient coils (28) of a magnetic field located in or on the housing (12, 18) of the scanner, which receives spatially coded magnetic resonances in the region (14 ) image formation; ! many solid state radiation detectors (50, 50 ', 50 ") located in or on the scanner body and arranged to detect gamma rays emitted from the imaging region;! processing (52, 54, 58, 60, 62) positron emission tomography with the ability to determine the time of flight (PET VP), configured to determine localized response lines based on (i) the locations of essentially simultaneous gamma-ray detections output by solid-state radiation detectors, and (ii) the time interval m between the mentioned essentially simultaneous gamma ray detections;! processing (64) reconstruction of positron emission tomography with the ability to determine the time of flight (PET VP), configured to reconstruct localized response lines to produce an image of PET VP; and! processing ( 44) a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) reconstruction configured to reconstruct the obtained magnetic resonances to produce an MRI image. ! 2. The imaging system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of solid state detectors include an array of silicon photomultipliers. ! 3. The imaging system according to claim 1, in which solid-state radiation detectors (50, 50 ', 50 ") have a temporary
