abstract | 1. The mannooligosaccharide composition comprising the hydrolyzate obtained by hydrolysis of the mannan product, the mannooligosaccharide composition has from about 1 to about 10 monosaccharides, where at least about 60 wt.% Of the monosaccharide is mannose and where the mannooligosaccharide composition is effective to reduce the ratio of body adipose tissue by at least at least about 4% and abdominal adipose tissue by at least about 10% in humans when consumed by a person in an amount of at least about 1 to about 10 g / day. The mannooligosaccharide composition according to claim 1, wherein the mannan product is provided from a source selected from the group consisting of raw coffee beans, roasted coffee beans, used coffee residues, coconut flour, coconut flakes, coconut, Huacra palm, yam, konjac, lily, daffodil, licorice, locust bean gum, guar gum and mixtures thereof. 3.
