| abstract | 1. A feed additive for animals in powdered solid form or in the form of a liquid, containing at least one active compound, i.e. an amino acid or amino acid derivative present in an amount greater than or equal to 50% by weight of the feed additive, characterized in that it also contains an olfactory additive present in an amount of less than or equal to 3% by weight of the feed additive, wherein said olfactory additive neutralizes odor perceived by a person of said active compound. 2. The feed additive according to claim 1, wherein the active compound and olfactory additive are mixed and contacted with each other. The feed additive according to claim 1, in which the active compound is present in an amount greater than or equal to 90 wt.% The specified additives. A feed additive according to claim 1, wherein said olfactory additive is present in an amount less than or equal to 1 wt.% Of said feed additive. The feed additive according to claim 4, characterized in that the olfactory additive is present in an amount of from 0.01 to 1% or from 0.03 to 0.1 wt.% Of the specified feed additive. A feed additive according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that said active compound is methionine and 2-hydroxy-4-methylthiobutyric acid. Animal feed, mainly an animal diet, comprising a feed additive according to any one of claims 1 to 6.8. A method of feeding a farmed animal, characterized in that the feed additive according to any one of claims 1 to 6 is added to the feed ration of the specified animal. The use of a feed additive according to any one of claims 1 to 6 for feeding a growing animal. The use according to claim 9 for improving zootechnical indicators of the specified animal. |
