abstract The invention relates to surgery. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy of the method. The objective is achieved by the study: wire d at the time of operation, while additionally determining the active zones, which are calculated by the size of the epithelium, the structure of the colloid and the number of follicles, and the ratio of the active zones to the test material is determined residual mass of the thyroid gland. And when the content of the active zones is from 5 to 35% of the test tissue, the residual mass of iron is 7-18 g, and when the content of the active zones is from 36-50%, the residual mass of the gland is 4-6 g. The method allows for accurate resection thyroid gland.
