Usage: biochemistry, clinical biochemistry, technical microbiologists. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION: An enzyme electrode consisting of an enzyme (oxidase, usually glucose oxidase) immobilized on the surface of a pallidized or platinized carbon or graft layer, is capable of amperometrically reacting to the presence of a substrate of this enzyme in a liquid sample in contact with the electrode.
