abstract FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: method involves synthesis of 11-alkyne alcohols of the general formula RC=C(CH 2 ) 10 OH where R - lower alcohol alkyl. Reagent 1: corresponding alkyne. Reagent 2: butyllithium in the form of hexane solution. Reaction conditions: reagent 1 is subjected for interaction with reagent 2 at decreased temperature in tetrahydrofuran, and prepared product is treated with 10-bromodecanol. Method is used in pheromone synthesis. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
