titleOfInvention Method of lithium tetraborate preparation
abstract Use: production of metal borates for their further use in industry. SUBSTANCE: treatment of supersaturated aqueous solutions of lithium tetraborate is carried out with a non-aqueous solvent, dimethylformamide, containing water at a volume ratio of dimethylformamide-water equal to (3-8): 1, and a solution of lithium tetraborate is acidified to pH 8.0-8.1. The solution is acidified by the addition of nitric or hydrochloric acid. 1 s.p. f-ly.
