titleOfInvention | IMPLANT FOR SUBSTITUTION OF BONE DEFECTS AND INTERDERBINAL DISK |
abstract | The utility model relates to medicine, namely to surgery, traumatology and orthopedics, and can be used in the surgical treatment of inflammatory and degenerative-dystrophic bone diseases, as well as bone injuries.n n n The objective of the utility model is an implant, which provides an increase in the effectiveness of its use in the replacement of bone defects and intervertebral discs due to better matching of the implant form to the shape of the replaced bone defect or intervertebral disc.n n n The problem is solved in that the implant for the replacement of bone defects and intervertebral discs made of carbon-carbon material containing a pyrocarbon matrix and a multidirectional reinforcing frame made of carbon fibers is made in the form of a cylinder with a cylindrical segment cut off parallel to the cylindrical axis, while the volume of the cut off segment is 5 -40% of the cylinder volume.n n n The proposed implants combine biocompatibility, strength, fixation properties associated with the characteristics of the carbon material from which they are made, and a new implant shape that better matches the shapes of a large group of replaceable bone defects or intervertebral discs. Thereby, an increase in the effectiveness of the use of implants is achieved when replacing bone defects and intervertebral discs. |
