titleOfInvention LIQUID GAMMA RADIATION DETECTION DEVICE AND SPECTROMETRIC INSTALLATION FOR MEASURING VOLUME ACTIVITY OF GAMMA RADIATING RADIONUCLIDES IN A LIQUID
abstract The technical solution relates to measuring equipment in nuclear energy and is intended for monitoring gamma radiation mainly in the primary coolant of reactor plants of nuclear power plants. The detection device 11 includes at least one gamma-ray detector 2 and a measuring chamber 1 mounted in a lead protective block 4. Block 4 is made in the form of a stacked structure and has a technological channel for the measuring chamber 1. The device 11 is characterized in that the sensitive element of the detector 2 made on the basis of LaBr 3 : Ce crystal. The detector 2 is placed in the protective block 4 horizontally towards the measuring chamber 1. The measuring chamber 1 is made in the form of a cylindrical capsule with nozzles 3 for supplying and discharging the medium and is mounted vertically. The protective unit 4 has openings for the outlet of the branch pipes 3. The spectrometric installation includes a detection device 11, preferably with two gamma radiation detectors 2 mounted on the same axis on opposite sides of the measuring chamber 1, a sampling system 10 and a control controller. The device 11 is connected to the sampling system 10 by nozzles 3 for supplying and discharging the medium. The sampling system 10 is equipped with nozzles 7, 8, 9 for connecting to an external supply pipe of a controlled medium, HOV and compressed air, respectively, as well as a nozzle 16 for connecting to a drainage system. The nozzles 7, 8, 9 and 16 are equipped with ball valves 6 with electric actuators. An overpressure compensator 15 and a flow meter 13 are installed on the medium supply pipeline.
