The device contains a cooled case with a double wall, filled with filler, a guide element for organizing the movement of the melt, a passive system for supplying water to the surface of the melt. In this case, the filler is arranged in blocks, each of which is divided into segments by attachment points mounted radially relative to the vertical axis of the device. Filling of the segments with the filler was carried out with the formation of free zones communicating with the central through hole for the passage of the melt, while the cooling of the casing is made in the form of a passive system that has the ability to function during the natural circulation of cooling water for an unlimited time using water from the container and pit tanks.
