An orally administered composition comprising a poorly water-soluble drug and a solvent liquid comprising at least one pharmaceutically acceptable solvent, at least one pharmaceutically acceptable fatty acid and at least one pharmaceutically acceptable organic amine, wherein (a) a significant proportion, for example at least 15% by weight by weight, the drug is in dissolved or dissolved form in a solvent liquid and (b) a fatty acid and an organic amine are present in such total and relative amounts that the composition is finely self-emulsifying in the simulated gastric fluid. A procedure for preparing such a composition is also provided. |
