abstract |
The invention relates to a process and to a laboratory for obtaining iodic acid. According to the invention, the preparation of iodic acid is carried out starting from elemental iodine and fuming nitric acid by reaction in the vapor phase and in suspension in a glass laboratory plant having as main components iodine and nitric acid vaporizers and reactors which allow the reaction velocities and high yields. The crude iodide is then purified by recrystallization in water and stored in sealed containers. |
