abstract | The invention describes a process for obtaining azodicarboxamide by reacting hydrazodicarboxamide with sodium dichromate in the presence of alkaline earth metal salts of hypochaloxo acids such as sodium hypochlorite, potassium hypochlorite, sodium hyobromite and potassium hyobromite and in the presence of sulfuric acid, in an aqueous medium at temperatures between 10 and 20 degrees C, at a contact time of 1 to 5 hours at atmospheric pressure. |
