titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PREPARING COPPER AND ZINC HYDROXIDES FROM WASTE |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of copper and zinc hydroxides from wastes which are dissolved in a carboamoniacal solution containing 8% CO2 and 16% NH3, the resulting products decomposing thermally under vacuum resulting in Cu and Zn oxides which then is dissolved in 49-50% nitric acid under agitation, so as to obtain a pH = 1 solution to which is added 20% NaOH in the presence of a non-ionic surfactant and calcium lignosulfonate, resulting in a stable suspension with pH 6 ... 6, 5 containing the respective hydroxides. |
