titleOfInvention | ELECTROCHEMICAL TREATMENT PROCESS FOR SOLUTIONS AND RESIDUAL WATER RESULTS IN BICROMATED OXIDATION PROCESSES |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the electrochemical treatment of solutions and acidic waste waters containing trivalent chromium and hexavalent chromium resulting from the dichromate oxidation consisting in that the more concentrated acid solutions in the chromium are introduced as anolyte into a cell electrolysis with the unfiltered ceramic diaphragm, regenerating the bichromate and sulfuric acid, which is further recirculated, and the acidic washings, more diluted in chromium, are introduced as catholyte, in the same electrolysis cell, chromium is reduced from chromium hexavalent chromium trivalent to be separated as chromium hydroxide which is then introduced into the anolyte. |
