abstract Antidote herbicide composition, characterized in that it is constituted by an acrtanilide derivative. selected from 2-chloro-2 '. 6'-diethyl-N- (methoxymethylacetanilide and 2-chloro-2 ', 6'-diethyl- N- (butoxymethyl) acetanilide as a herbicidal agent and a 4-alkyl- or trihaloalkyl-5-oxazolecarboxylic acid derivative protecting group of the general formula: wherein R represents a C1-5 alkyl radical or agriculturally acceptable cation, R1 represents a C1-5 alkyl or polyhaloalkyl radical of 1 to 5 carbon atoms carbon and R 2 represents hydrogen, an alkoxy radical of 1 to 5 carbon atoms, halogen or phenoxy, the weight ratio of the herbicide to the protecting agent is 1: 25 to 25: 1 parts by weight, is known in the art by the addition of surface active agent and inert diluent.
