abstract The present invention relates to acylamino-N-phenylpyrazole derivatives corresponding to the general formula: wherein R 1 represents R 8 C (= O) - (where R 8 represents hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 7 carbon atoms or alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms optionally substituted carbonyloxy with 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxycarbonyl of 2 to 5 carbon atoms or halogen, C3 to C4 cycloalkyloxy of 3 to 6 carbon atoms optionally substituted by methyl or ethyl or phenoxy, R 2 represents hydrogen or R 1 -C (= O) -, or R 1 and R 2 together represent a group -CO- (CR at the power of R at the power b) m -CO-, R 3 represents a fluorine atom, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms optionally substituted by halogen or alkenyl of 2 to 4 carbon atoms, R 4 represents fluoro, chloro, bromo, nitro, methyl or ethyl and R 5 each represents chlorine and R 3, R 6 and R 7 each represent hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and m is 2 or 3, which possess herbicidal properties. the preparation of these compounds consists of treating compounds of formula II with a compound of the formula R8 COX wherein X is Cl, Br, R8 COO at temperatures between 0 DEG C. and the reflux temperature optionally in the presence of chloroform.
