abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of insecticidal bicyclooxyphenyl urea derivatives of the general formula I wherein M represents a phenyl radical substituted with 1 to 2 identical or different substituents selected from chlorine, trifluoromethyl, methyl, methoxy, ethoxy or nitro, or M represents a 2-pyridyl radical substituted with a chlorine atom, the same or different substituents of Y are chloro, methyl, trifluoromethyl or methoxy, n is 0-3, B represents a naphthyl radical optionally substituted with 1 or 2 substituents selected from chlorine, bromine, methoxy, dimethylamino, dimethylaminosulfonyl, morpholinosulphonyl, or B represents a substituted tetrahydronaphthyl radical, a dimethylamino group, an NHCOZ group, where Z represents methyl, ethoxy, methylamino or dimethylamino, or B represents a group: (see formula) by treatment of an isocyanate of the general formula II: wherein M has the meaning of general formula I, with a derivative of the aniline of general formula III wherein Y, n and B are as defined in general formula I in the presence of a solvent selected from toluene and 1,2-dichloroethane at 70 ° C. |
