titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR OBTAINING ACRYLIC TREATMENTS
abstract The invention relates to a process for obtaining acrylic resins for the manufacture of paints and adhesives applied on mineral supports which, in order to ensure storage stability, physico-mechanical characteristics and improved weathering, are copolymerised with a (meth) acrylic ester selected from methyl, ethyl, butyl, isobutyl, hexyl and 2-ethylhexyl (meth) acrylate or mixtures thereof with 96: 4 to 70: 30 wt.% glycidyl methacrylate, in the presence of toluene, a peroxide initiator selected from 0.5 ... 4% tert -butyl peroxide and 0.1 to 5% by weight of the tert-butyl mercaptan chain regulator relative to the total monomers at a temperature of refluxing the solvent to a final conversion of at least 98%, the resulting copolymer being further reacted with 2 to 20% by weight of acrylic acid based on the total monomer in the presence of a hydroquinone as an inhibitor, in the proportion of 100-1000 ppm based on the unsaturated acid, and a basic catalyst for the opening of the amine, phosphine or aromatic tertiary amine oxirane ring in the proportion of 0.2-2% relative to glycidyl acrylate at the reflux temperature of the solvent until an acidity index of at most 5 mg KOH / g is reached, after which the solvent is removed by vacuum distillation, replaced with a mixture of (meth) acrylic esters and hydrocarbon monomers , for example styrene and vinyl-toluene, and the resin so obtained is pre-accelerated with 0.5-5% of a mixture of polysulfide polymers and tertiary amines in a ratio of 100 to 1 to
