abstract The invention relates to a liquid herbicidal composition, constituted as an active substance, from a N-hydrocarbyloxymethyl-2-haloacetanilide of the general formula I wherein R represents ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, isobutyl, allyl or R2 is methyl, ethyl or isopropyl, provided that when R6 is ethyl, R is ethyl, n-propyl or allyl and R1 is n -butyl or isobutyl; when R is isobutyl, R 1 is n-propyl, isopropyl, isobutyl or isoamyl, and when r is butenyl, R 1 is methyl, in a weight ratio of 5 to 85%, together with a solvent selected from monochlorobenzene, aromatic hydrocarbons C9, xylene, dimethylsulfoxide, N-methylpyrrolidone, dimethylformamide and water in the weight ratio of 1 ... 94.0% and optionally a surface active agent selected from polyoxyethylene castor oil, calcium dodecylbenzene sulfonate mixture with alkylaryl polyether cools, copolymer polyoxyethylene / polyoxypropylene block with butanol and alkali or alkaline earth metal lignosulfonate in a weight ratio of 1 ... 20% and rodaminop B 0.5% by weight.
