abstract The invention relates to a polyethylene based composition with enhanced oxidation and photooxidation resistance, which in order to provide protection for smoke, titanium dioxide and a tricomponent system consisting of a UV absorber of the substituted 2-hydroxybenzophenone class or 2 -hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole, a photochemical stabilizer selected from the class of nickel compounds and an octadecyl 3- (3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-phenyl) -propionate or tri- -diter-butyl-4-hydroxy-benzyl) in 1: 0.1-0.5 the sum of the three components not exceeding 2% based on polyethylene.
