titleOfInvention PHOTO CHEMICAL METHOD FOR DISINFECTION AND CONTROL OF NOSOCOMIAL INFECTIONS FROM SPITALS AND BIOLOGICAL RISKS
abstract The invention relates to a photochemical method for disinfection and control of nosocomial infections in hospitals and biological risk rooms. According to the invention, the method consists in exposing the microorganisms present in the air in the enclosure to the action of light quanta emitted by a luminaire having an optical structure consisting of several types of led diodes, each type of diode emitting quantums of light with biocidal properties , having the monochromatic wavelength chosen from one of the following: 760 nm (± 20 nm) or 690 nm (± 20 nm) or 660 nm (± 20 nm) or 630 nm (± 20 nm) or 580 nm (± 20 nm) or 530 nm (± 20 nm) or 470 nm (± 20 nm), the operation of the luminaire being continuous; the method is not harmful to humans and acts on microorganisms through two physical mechanisms, the absorption of quantum by porphyrins from the structure of bacteria, followed by their destruction and the generation of reactive species of molecules with biocidal effect.
