titleOfInvention | COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR OBTAINING SUPER ABSORBING MATERIALS BASED ON POLYVINYL ALCOHOL AND LIGNINE |
abstract | The invention relates to a composition and a process for obtaining an absorbent hydrogel based on polyvinyl alcohol/lignin. According to the invention, the composition consists of 50...90% lignin/lignin epoxy resin and 50...10% polyvinyl alcohol. As claimed by the invention, the process consists in dissolving the components, in equal parts, in 7 ml of 9% NaOH solution and adding 2 ml of epichlorohydrin, afterwards the resulting mixture is introduced into a covered crystallyzer and it is kept there for 8 h, at 80°C, in a oven, at the end the obtained hydrogel is washed for removing the unreacted components and the secondary products, and lyophilized, there resulting a product suitable for being used in the pharmaceutical field as a system of controlled release for the pharmacologically active substances. |
