abstract | BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a NCAIM (P) B001362 deposit strain intended for use as bioinoculant in agricultural crops, including for fortification of grain cereal crops in areas with selenium deficiency. Tulpin produces lipopeptide and polictide antibiotics, hydrolytic enzymes, protease and lactonase, with a broad spectrum of antifungal activity against phytopathogenic fungi and against bacteria that affect the trees in flowering, and has plant growth stimulating activity due to endophyte production growth factors and mineralization capacity of plant material, due to the production of amylase, phytase and cellulase. B100 strain solubilizes inorganic phosphorus, bioavailable selenium and stimulates the picking up and accumulation of selenium by wheat and maize plants. |
