titleOfInvention | FLAVONOID VEGETAL BIOPRODUS AND THEIR PROCESSING |
abstract | The invention relates to a product with antioxidant effect and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the product comprises 2.19...4.00% flavonoids expressed as rutin, 2.36...6.0% polyphenolcarboxylic acids expressed as caffeic acid and 3.07...13.96% polyphenols expressed as gallic acid. The process claimed by the invention consists in extracting and processing the plant material obtained from the species Crataegus monogyna Jacq. by ultrasound treating the dry plant material comminuted for 20...50 min, at a temperature of 20...40°C, followed by 2...4 cycles of extraction at the solvent reflux temperature for 2...3.5 h at a 1:1 ratio with a solvent consisting of methyl alcohol and demineralized water in a ratio of 1:1, the extract being then cooled down to 5°C, filtered, bleached with 1% active carbon and processed by vacuum concentration, at a temperature of 40...60°C, until a ratio of 1:4...1:10, as compared with the initial volume, is reached, then it is precipitated while stirring, for 15...45 min, with methanol acidified up to a pH value of 2.5...5.8, is maintained at 5°C for 48...72 h and is centrifuged at 4°C for 20 min to separate the precipitated product which is filtered, washed with acetone and ethyl alcohol and then dried to finally obtain a greenish-brown product having an antioxidant activity of 95...99.5%. |
