The invention relates to a method for preparing hepatocytic and pancreatic progenitors to be used in cellular therapy. According to the invention, the method consists in growing stem cells isolated from the chorial or membranous portion of the placenta, in usual laboratory conditions, after which there takes place the expansion of undifferentiated stem cells and characterization thereof, further on they being grown on a collagen substrate, in the presence of a differentiation medium, resulting in a change of cell morphology and three-stage differentiation of placenta mesenchymal stem cells into common hepatic-pancreatic progenitor cells. |
