titleOfInvention | DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING SPECIFIC VIRAL-ANTI-CORRECTION ANTIGEN INTERACTIONS BY DETERMINING CONTACT ANGLE |
abstract | The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the presence of proteins as antibodies or pathogenic agents to be used for medical diagnosis purposes. According to the invention, the method consists in determining the contact angle of water with nanostructured substrates, finally aiming at the protein with functional group which specifically interacts with the protein to be identified. The contact angle is determined by the adequate processing of optical images of water drop shape allowing the lead and rear angles to be evaluated. The claimed device is presented in two embodiments; in the first embodiment, the device comprises layers of (3-aminopropyl) triethoxysilane (APES), disuccinimidyl suberate (DSS) and the specifically interacting protein, successively deposited on a glass plate; in the second embodiment, the device contains a glass plate on which the are placed a layer of nanostructured SiOx and further on the layers of APES, DSS and the specifically interacting protein. |
