abstract The invention relates to a process for obtaining a mixture of flavonoid aglycans with antioxidant properties, used in the pharmaceutical and food industry. The process according to the invention consists in that the vegetal material made from pericarp and sea buckthorn seeds, dried and crushed, is extracted with a diol, namely ethylene glycol, and further hydrolyzed with 1 ... 15% aqueous mineral acid or acid acetic acid and extract the flavonoid agonists with ethyl ether from the resulting mixture, the ether extract dried under vacuum to give a yellowish-yellowish product which can be used as such or can be purified by decolorizing with activated charcoal and recrystallization .
