titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR DETERMINING RESISTANCE TO FIBER-COATING PERFORATION |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for the determination of the breaking-puncture resistance of fibrin coagululus, for the fields of human physiology and pathology, and in particular for hematology and metabolic diseases. According to the invention, the method consists in collecting and pipetting an amount of whole blood into a stainless steel tank so that the thickness of the pipetted layer is 4 ... 5 mm, the bottom well having a hole with a diameter about 5 mm in the first step, with a detachable plate, which, after complete blood clotting and formation of a fibrin lamina, is released, perpendicular to the upper surface of the fibrin lamella, is lowered a punch rod that is progressively pushed with a force comprised between 0 and 0.60 N until the fibrin plate is perforated, at which point the value of the puncture force is read and the value obtained is then compared with a standard curve, thereby obtaining a coagulability state. |
