The invention relates to a process for the production of acrylonitrile comprising the use of a fluidized bed catalyst having a composition represented by the empirical formula FeaSbbMocBidKeFfGgHhQqRrTtOx (SiO2) y in the production of acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene, the ammoxidation reaction being carried out with the addition of material containing molybdenum. The invention also relates to a fluidized bed catalyst which is used to produce acrylonitrile by ammoxidation of propylene and which has a composition represented by the aforementioned empirical formula as well as to a process for the preparation of said catalyst. |
