The invention relates to a system for the processing, storage and transportation of liquefied natural gas at pressures and temperatures of relatively high values. The system according to the invention, in a constructive embodiment, comprises pressurized liquefied natural gas storage tanks (32) placed on a steam (30), the gas pressure being 1035 to 7590 MPa, and the temperature is -123 ... - 62 ° C. The tanks (32) are made of ultra-high strength low alloy steel, containing less than 9% by weight of nickel, and having a tensile breaking strength of more than 830 MPa and a transition temperature of to a fragile ductile of -73 ° C. The process according to the invention consists in converting the natural gas into liquefied natural gas at said pressure and temperature. |
