The invention relates to a cough composition, which is administered orally. The cough composition according to the invention is comprised of 0.5 to twice the standard dose of a cough substance that acts on the central system, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and benzamide in an amount from 1/200 to twice the weight of cough substances that act on the central system, or the equivalent amount of a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof for oral administration. |
