titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE COMPOSITION AND USE OF PEPTIDES CPF
abstract Compsn. comprises a CPF peptide (I) (or its biologically active analogue or deriv.) and a carrier. Also claimed is a process for inhibiting growth of a target cell by admin. of (I). Pref. (I) has following basic structure (x): R1 = a hydrophobic aminoacid; R2 = basic hydrophilic or hydrophilic-aminoacid; R3 = a basic hydrophilic aminoacid; R4 = a hydrophobic or neutral hydrophilic aminoacid; R5 = a basic or neutral hydrophilic aminoacid. (I) pref. includes structure Y-X- (i) or -X-Z- (ii): Y = R5, R2-R5-, R1-R2-R5- or R2-R1-R2-R5; Z = R1,R1-R1-, R1-R1-R4-, R1-R1-R4-R4-, R1-R1-R4-R4-R6-, R1-R1-R4-R6-Gln or R1-R1-R4-R4-R6-Gln-Gln; R6 = proline or a hydrophobic aminoacid. Prefd. peptides are of formula (Y-)a-X-(Z)b (Ia): a = 0 or 1; b = 0 or 1. (I) are known (see eg Richter K., Egger R., and Kreil (1986) J. Biol. Chem 261, 3676-3680).
