titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AN EQUIDAE CATTLE TREATMENT AGENT |
abstract | Antibiotics effective against gram-positive bacteria affect the production of propionate and lactate in the hind gut of equine livestock. Control of lactate production especially following ingestion of grain reduces laminitis and allows the animal to be fed grain. Control of propionate production leads to improved feed utilisation and reduction of flatus. The preferred antibiotics is virginiamycin. |
