titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS BASED ON CLAY BASIL CONTAINING STABILIZERS OF METAL SALES OF FATTY ACIDS AND POTASSIUM POLYPHOSES
abstract The physical stability and rheological properties variations of liquid gel-like compositions based on montmorillonite, attapulgite, hectorite or other inorganic colloid-forming clay or other thixotropic thickener are greatly improved by incorporating in the composition small amounts such as about 1.0-2.0 weight percent of potassium polyphosphates and small amounts such as 0.2 or 0.4 weight percent of calcium, magnesium, aluminium or zinc stearate or other polyvalent metal sail of a long chain fatty acid. The thixotropic properties can be retained or improved using smaller levels, such as 0.20 to 0.5%, of the clay thixotropic thickener than in the absence of the potassium polyphosphate physical stabilizer. Use as liquid gel-like automatic dishwasher compositions are described.
