titleOfInvention Supressive factor of allergy
abstract Hybridoma cell line characterised by prodn. of suppressive factor by allergy (SFA) is new. It is esp. line 1C1. Pref. the cell line comprises a fusion of cells from Jurkat human T-cell leukaemia and SFA-producing human peripheral blood lymphocytes. The SFA or a SFA-contg. supernatant is at least 50% effective in inhibiting FcRe expression at dilutions exceeding 1:1000. The hybridoma cell line comprises a mRNA molecule comprising a RNA sequence coding for SFA. SFA may be detected by (a) treating a culture of mouse splenocytes with a measured amount of soluble monoclonal antibody to T-lymphocytes; (b) adding the test sample; (c) adding mouse anti-2,4-dinitrophenyl; and (d) determng. the FcRe positive cells by a rosette-forming assay, with comparison with control cultures free from SFA.
