titleOfInvention | Process for the preparation of n-cyanoalkyl haloacetamidesherbicidal antidotes |
abstract | (A) Amides of formula (I) are new. R-CO-NR1R2 (I) (R is 1-4C haloalkyl. R1 is H or 1-4C alkyl. R2 is 2-8C cyanoalkyl, 5-12C cyanoalkylcycloalkyl, 5-12C cyanocycloalkyl, 3-6C cyanoalkylalkoxy or cyanobenzyl, but if R2 is cyanoalkyl then R must be dibromoalkyl). (B) New compsns. contain (I) plus a herbicide of formulae (II) or (III). R3R4N.CO.SR5 (II) (R3 is 1-6C alkyl or 2-6C alkenyl. R4 is 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl, or R3 and R4 together are 5-10C alkylene. R5 is 1-6C alkyl, 1-4C haloalkyl, 5-10C cycloalkyl, or is phenyl or benzyl both opt.substd. by 1-4C alkyl, haloalkyl and/or halo. X, Y and Z are each H or 1-4C alkyl. R6 is 1-6C alkyl, 2-10C alkoxyalkyl, 3-6C alkoxycarbonylalkyl or dioxolan. R7 is chloro, bromo or iodo).. (I) are antidotes for protecting crop plants against damage by thiocarbamate and haloacetanilide herbicides. |
